What you get

What's covered

  1. Getting started: Registry checklist and state requirements
  2. Basic hazardous materials: classes, placards, shipping papers, markings and labels
  3. Operational requirements: regulations, registration, permits and security
  4. Reporting hazmat incidents and crashes
  5. Tunnels and railroad crossings
  6. Loading, unloading and segregation; bulk and non-bulk packaging
  7. Hazmat on passenger vehicles
  8. Bulk packages and rollover prevention
  9. Operating emergency equipment and shut-off systems
  10. Emergency response procedures
  11. Fueling, tire checks, route planning and safety permits
  12. Final exam (80% required to pass)

After you pass

We submit your completion to the FMCSA Training Provider Registry. Your state checks the Registry before your CDL skills test or hazmat knowledge test. Hazmat requires theory only.
